WHO WE ARE
Our Story
Hindman First Baptist Church in Hindman, Kentucky, has a rich history that spans well over a century. Established in 1897 as a beacon of faith in the community, the church has played a pivotal role in shaping the spiritual and social fabric of the region. Over the years, several other churches/missions in the area were established thanks to the church's dedication to fulfilling the Great Commission. Faithful men of God were identified, discipled, and sent out from Hindman First Baptist Church to proclaim the Gospel amongst the people of the Appalachian mountains here in eastern Kentucky.
Through times of growth, challenges, and community transformations, as well as a few pastor-less years, Hindman First Baptist Church has remained a steadfast institution, serving as a place of worship, fellowship, and outreach. The church's history is marked by the dedication of its members and its enduring commitment to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Hindman and to the ends of the earth.
